Our region competed nationally and was chosen to receive funding through the Partnership for Sustainable Communities Initiative, an interagency partnership of HUD, Department of Transportation and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This collaborative initiative works to integrate housing, land-use, economic and workforce development, transportation options, and infrastructure to support and empower local communities. The project team represented the interests of the entire region, and worked with representatives from local governments and agencies throughout the valley.
